Welcome to Quisqueya Plaza
Quisqueya Plaza is a vibrant community space in Inwood, NYC that celebrates the diversity of its neighborhood. The plaza offers a variety of family-friendly programming including workshops, health and wellness events, arts and culture events, and food-oriented events as well as live performances. It is also a pedestrian-friendly space with bike lanes. Formerly known as Dyckman Plaza, this iconic landmark was renamed in December 2021 with the support of the New York City Council. Council member Ydanis Rodriguez warmly declared of the plaza, “the transformation of one of the most successful open streets into a full-time permanent public plaza supporting open restaurants and community programming".
This historic commercial and cultural center is closely associated with the Dominican community in the city and has a rich history dating back several decades.

Our History

In May 2020, the segment of Dyckman Street between Seaman Ave and Broadway was designated an NYC Open Street. -
Open Street
Restaurants was created to support economic recovery in response to the pandemic.2020
